The death has occurred of Fr Liam Pentony PE of Grangebellew, Louth / Dromiskin, Louth

The death has occurred of Fr Liam Pentony PE, Grangebellew, Drogheda and formerly of Mississippi, USA and former Curate in Darver & Dromiskin on 8 February 2022, peacefully in Silver Stream Nursing Home, Duleek, Co Meath. Much loved brother of Clare, Seamus, Tom, Sile and Lily. Fr. Liam will be sadly missed by his brothers, sisters, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. 

Fr Liam, a native of County Louth, was ordained to the priesthood in 1955 for the Diocese of Jackson, Mississippi, USA. He ministered in America for forty-six years before returning home to Ireland to serve in the Parish of Darver & Dromiskin for a further sixteen years.

Reposing at McGeough's Funeral Home Jocelyn Street, Dundalk from 4pm to 7pm on Saturday. Funeral Mass on Sunday morning at 11:15am in The Church of the Immaculate Conception, Tenure. Burial afterwards in Monasterboice Cemetery. All enquires please phone Oisín Rogers of McGeoughs Funerals, Dundalk on 042 9334283.
