A Cooley Peninsula Community Alert meeting will take place in St Patrick's GAA club rooms next month.
The meeting, which will cover crime prevention across the Cooley Peninsula and the north Louth area will be held on Thursday, March 9th at 7.30pm.
Crime Prevention Officer for Louth Sergeant John Heavey, senior garda and local councillors and TDs will attend the meeting.
“With an emphasis on community gardai Sgt Heavey will be there with loads of useful guides and information”, Chairperson Cooley Peninsula Community Alert Michael Muckian said.
“We are hearing from those across the area we need to continue to push gardai numbers,
tackle the speed issues in Bellurgan and along the main road at the Bush school and ensure we get the recently reduced garda numbers in Carlingford/Omeath and border area restored.”
A free Property Marking and Garda App demonstration will also take place at the meeting.
All are welcome to attend the meeting.
