Pump failure causing water disruption in north Louth

Uisce Éireann have advised that a fault is causing water disruption in the north Louth area this morning.

The company say pump failure may cause intermittent supply disruptions to Jenkinstown, Lordship, Gyles Quay, Omeath, Carlingford, Ballinamara, The Bush, Irish Grange, Greenore, Cooley Peninsula, Rath and surrounding areas in Co. Louth.

According to Uisce Éireann website Works are scheduled to take place until midday on 27 February.

Local Sinn Fein councillor Antoin Watters says crews are working to get supply restored but there is no timescale for full restoration.
