Song workshop in Dundalk for Seachtain na Gaeilge

Conradh na Gaeilge on Seatown Place

Seachtain na Gaeilge is almost upon us and among the events being held nationwide to celebrate our heritage as Gaeilge, a song workshop will be held in Dundalk on Saturday 11 March at 14:30 in Conradh na Gaeilge on Seatown Place.

Local singer, Ciara Hall, will teach three songs in Irish gathered from some of the last native Irish speakers of Louth and Armagh around the turn of the twentieth century.

Additionally, Féile Dhún Dealgan, a local Irish language drama competition, will take place on Thursday 9th March at 10am in An Tain Arts Centre.

The event, organised by Cumann Scoildrámaíochta, will see local primary and secondary school students showcase their talent on stage and seek to impress the judges.

Parents and the public are welcome to come and spectate, with admission €1/€4 at the door.
