Deaths in Dundalk - Wednesday 1 March 2023

May they rest in peace

The death has occurred of Audrey Halpenny (née Thornton) of Heynestown, Dundalk and formerly Whitestown, Greenore, Louth

Peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her parents Michael and Mary Thornton and brothers Brendan and Michael. Very deeply regretted by her beloved husband Peter, daughters Orla and Karen, sons Adrian and John, sons-in-law James and Ben, daughter-in-law Catherine, grandchildren Conor, Ciara, Cillian, Hazel, Holly, Darcie and Daisy. Also by her sisters, brothers, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing at her residence from Wednesday. Removal on Friday morning at 10.00am to Our Lady Star of The Sea Church, Boher arriving for Funeral Mass at 11.00am. Burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations can be made in lieu, if desired, to the Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association. House private at all times please.

The death has occurred of Laurence (Larry) McGrane of Kilmacud, Co. Dublin and late of Stabannon, Co. Louth

Peacefully on 28 February 2023, aged 91 years, in the kind care of all the staff at Leopardstown Park Hospital. Larry, beloved husband of Margaret (née Morrissey) and loving father of Barry, Imelda, Kilian and Nicholas. Predeceased by his brothers Paddy, Nicky, Hughie, Harry and Gem and his sisters May, Rita and Jenny.

He will be sadly missed by his wife, children and their partners Jackie, Richard, Maria and Leah, his adored grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Connor’s Funeral Home, Dunleer, on Friday 3 March from 4.00pm to 7.00pm. Funeral Mass in Saint Mary’s Church Kilsaran at 11am on Saturday 4 March. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

The death has occurred of Brendan (Ryano) Ryan of Castle Road, Dundalk, Louth

On Tuesday 28 February 2023, peacefully in the love and tender care of The Louth Co. Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband and best friend of Grace (née Fergus). Predeceased by his parents Michael and Mary-Kate (late of Dublin).

Will be sadly missed with love by his wife, brother in-law Bryan, sisters in law Helen, Marita, Angela and Monica, nephews, nieces, grand-nephews and nieces, extended family, relatives, neighbours and wonderful friends.

Reposing at his residence Castle Road from 12 noon to 8pm on Wednesday. Removal on Thursday morning at 11.30am on foot to Seatown Place then proceeding to Dardistown Crematorium Old Airport Road Dublin, arriving for a celebration of life at 1pm. No flowers please. Donations, if desired, to The Irish Cancer Society.
