First dive for Dundalk Sub Aqua Club trainees

Last weekend thirty divers from Dundalk Sub Aqua Club, of which nine were trainees, travelled to St.John's Point in Donegal.

For the nine new divers it was a very exciting time, after six months of training in Aura swimming pool & many lectures on scuba diving, the day had arrived for their first dive.

On Saturday they completed two 10 metre dives & on Sunday they dived at St.John's Point lighthouse.

Some of them may become search & rescue diver's in the future & will continue the service that has been in operation in this locality now for over twenty years.

Dundalk Sub Aqua Search and Rescue Unit says it would like to congratulate them.
