De La Salle Principal and teacher's retirement marked at dinner

Staff from De La Salle secondary school gathered in the Crowne Plaza recently to wish a fond farewell to former principal Patricia O’Leary and long serving teacher Raymond Lamont.

Ms O’Leary served as principal of the school for ten years from 2011 to 2021 and first arrived in the school in the 80s where she taught Geography and Irish before becoming a special education teacher.

She was later made Deputy Principal for two years in 2009, before being promoted to Principal in 2011.

Mr.Lamont had also been with the school for decades teaching maths and physics.
