GLYDE RANGERS 1-7 OLIVER PLUNKETTS 0-12
Oliver Plunketts remain unbeaten this season with a win over Glyde Rangers in the Mell last Thursday. The fixture was originally down for Tallanstown, but a late pitch change due to the wet weather allowed the Drogheda men to enjoy the home comforts.
A late Barry Sharkey goal and point when he came in as a replacement in the second half nearly paid off for Gus Flynn’s side. Cian Brady was highly effective all evening as the hosts led 0-6 to 0-4 at the break.
The supply lines to the Plunketts forwards were good thanks to Kristian Nolan’s performance around the middle and wing back Baz Reynolds helped himself to two vital scores for later on.
Another last gasp Colum Duffy save from Ciaran Sheridan left the unbeaten Plunkett’s top of the table with four wins from four.

The home side led the ‘Barrs at half time 1-7 to 0-9. Conor Osborne was in fine scoring form throughout, as was Rory Taaffe for the hosts. A well worked goal from Joe Comiskey left it all to do for the Togher based men upon the resumption.

NA PIARSAIGH BLACKROCK 0-4 STABANNON PARNELLS 1-13
Na Piarsaigh Blackrock, at home in Pairc An tAthair Ui Dhubhthaigh, were no match for the visiting Stabannon Parnells last Saturday night. Seán Reynolds was released from the county panel and had a huge say on the contest.
Having lost their previous two games, Reynolds’ first half goal gave the Parnells the much-needed confidence to collect some valuable league points. A depleted home side managed one first half score from Robert Murphy.
In the second half, Parnells extended their dominance with Harry Butterly and wingback Barry Lynch getting in on the act. With three black cards and a red card for the home side, Jamie Fealy added a brace, but Stabannon would run out comfortable winners.
NA PIARSAIGH BLACKROCK: Adam Molloy; Fionn Tipping, Joe Woods, Chris Kellet; Stephen McGuinness, Cormac McCartney, John Galligan; Ciaran Murphy, James Mahoney; Mark Larkin, Gerard Rice, Robert Murphy (0-2); Sean Connolly, Tommy Muckian, Jamie Fealy (0-2).
