Couple once again open their garden to raise funds for North Louth Hospice

Somewhat earlier than usual, Gerard and Carmel McHugh, ‘Drumcask’, Priorland Road, Dundalk (A91 R6E8) will once again open their garden in aid of North Louth Hospice, on Saturday 1st July, 2 – 5pm.

The recent fine weather has resulted in a sudden growth spurt, causing the garden to peak 2 -3 weeks earlier than last year.

Now in its mature phase, the garden is home to an eclectic mix of plants selected to provide year-round interest.

"We started doing an open day for the Hospice in 2017 as a novel way to raise funds for a very worthy cause so this will be our 5th fundraiser,” says Gerard.

The garden wraps around the house with front, side, and rear sections and is laid out to reveal only a little of itself from any position.
