JOHN MITCHELS 0-17 DOWDALLSHILL 0-4
Top versus Bottom was always going one way in St Brigid’s Park as John Mitchels made it nine wins from nine against winless Dowdallshill.
On top from the beginning of the game, James Murray’s side put together some good attacking moves to get points on the board early through John Gallagher, Kevin Gallagher, Trevor Matthews, John Bingham and Cathal Corrigan.
A solid defensive display from Anthony Coyle, Shane Crosson and Leigh Ross in the full back line, which saw them win multiple turnovers, limited any scoring opportunities for the Hill to leave the half time score 0-10 to 0-1.
The second half started in a similar fashion, but Dowdallshill got another three points on the board through Niall McManus and Stephen Murray. Kevin Gallagher closed the game out and finished with four in the finish before he departed on his travels to Australia.
