St Dominics 4 Rampart Celtic 1

St Dominics stayed top of the league with a convincing 4-1 victory over Rampart Celtic. They now have 27 points from 11 games, two more than second placed Muirhevnamor.

Oran O'Hanlon gave Rampart the lead in the opening minute, but they could not build on it and the Saints got on level terms on the half hour from a Greg Shannon header.

10 minutes into the second half Shannon struck again with a daisy cutter into the far corner, his 19th goal this season. An own goal made it 3-1, before Dylan Thornton with his 2nd strike of the season completed the scoring.

Their 1st league meeting saw the Doms triumph 4-0.

Carrick Rovers 3 Muirhevnamor 4

The Blues kept the pressure on the leaders with a hard fought 4-3 win in Carrick. When they met earlier in the season, the Dundalk side won 4-0.

It took a brace apiece from Tyler Chiduza and Toheeb Agunbirde to help Micky O'Kane's charges past the three goals from Rian McCann, Jerome Abekyamwale and Darragh Alfred in what a very entertaining game.

Clancy Cup Quarter final

Muirhevnamor 1 Shamrocks 4

Cup holders Shamrocks showed they would not relinquish their hold on the trophy without a fight, as a commanding display that saw them run out 4-1 victors.

A Deane Brown penalty after 10 minutes sent them on their way, before a rocket from Stephen Fisher on 35 minutes extended their lead.

Dara Akinade within minutes disposed the home side keeper too, putting the Hoops 3-0 in front. 10 minutes into the second half, player/manager Micky O'Kane pulled a goal back, just before his side were reduced to nine men, shortly after Deane Brown dispatched another spot kick to make it 4-1.

Close to full time Muirhevnamor had a second player sent off. Shamrocks will now meet St Dominics, while Quay Celtic meet Rampart Celtic in the other semi-final.
