GLYDE RANGERS 2-11 WOLFE TONES 1-6

Glyde Rangers made it back-to-back wins when they scored a crucial 2-11 to 1-6 victory over Wolfe Tones in Tallanstown.

The result sees the hosts move off the bottom of the table, three points clear of Naomh Fionnbarra, who slipped back to bottom spot.

The victory was based on a strong first half display that saw the Mid Louth side build up a 1-6 to 0-2 advantage. The Tones improved in the second half and gave themselves hope, but Glyde weren’t to be denied as they ran out winners by eight points.

Ciaran Sheridan and Jack McKeever landed the goals for the hosts, while Ultan Larney, Oisin Lynch and Killian Scott also contributed points.

Darren Weldon found the net for a Tones side, who also had points from Jordan Duffy and Garrett Cooney.
