Go ahead given for development at Dundalk North Business Park

Planning also provides for filling station and river walk along the Castletown River

Louth County Council has given the go ahead for the development of 14 buildings at the Dundalk North Business Park on the Armagh Road in Dundalk.

McWilliams Capital Limited applied for planning permission last December to construct 14 warehouse/logistics/light industrial buildings, each with ancillary offices, plant, parking and yards.

The application also sought planning permission for a fuel filling station with associated retail, restaurant/cafe facilities, signage and car parking and car wash, as well as the provision of a river walk along the Castletown River.

It also provided for internal roads infrastructure; water infrastructure, including Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS); and foul water; as well as utilities infrastructure and connections including substations.

The local planning authority sought further information on the proposed development in February, with significant further information being provided in June.

Louth County Council granted planning permission for the development to go ahead on 28 July, subject to 35 conditions.
