Cuchulainn Archers John Keenan, Peter Gilmore, Paul McClelland, JoAnn Bell, Kevin Donnelly, Siobhan Keeble, Neil Keeble and Darrel Wilson all secured medals
CúChulainn Archers travelled northwards over the August Bank Holiday weekend to compete in the Combined Target and Field Competition, hosted by City of Belfast Archery Club.
This competition consisted of a Target Round (720 Round) in the morning, followed by a Field Round of 12 marked targets in the afternoon.
The 720 Round comprises of 72 arrows shot at either 50m or 70 metres, depending on bow style, and, in this competition is followed by 12 targets at various marked distances. It is quite a demanding, but still a very popular competition, which incorporates two different archery disciplines.
The club had great success with Darrel Wilson (Men's Senior Compound), John Keenan (Men's Masters Compound), Jo Ann Bell (Women's Masters Compound) and Peter Gilmore (Masters Men's Compound) all bring gold medals back to Louth.
The club also clinched four silver medals courtesy of Kevin Donnelly (Men's Senior Compound), Paul McClelland (Master Men's Compound), Neil Keeble (Barebow Men) and Siobhan Keeble (Barebow Master Women).
Next up is the Irish Open Outdoor Championships which takes place this weekend in the National Sports Centre in Dublin and will be hosted by CúChulainn Archers.
