The death has occurred of Mary Duffy (née Carroll) Foxfield, Carrickmacross, Monaghan / Tallanstown, Louth

The death has occurred of Mary Duffy (née Carroll), 17 Foxfield, Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan and formerly of Charlestown, Tallanstown, Co. Louth, peacefully, surrounded by her loving family at The Louth County Hospital, Dundalk Wednesday 9th August 2023.

Predeceased by her parents Paddy and Vera Carroll. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her husband Charles Duffy, sons Nigel, Gavin and Liam, daughter Elaine, son-in-law David Murphy, daughter-in-law Linda, grandchildren Oscar, Eimear, Dylan, Rian, Katie and Charlie, brothers Mick, Brian, Frank, Kevin, Pat, sisters Veronica, brothers-in-law John Baylon and John Duffy, sisters-in-law Maura, Meg, Marie, Cora, Paddy and Helen, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Deery’s Funeral Home, Carrickmacross, on Saturday from 4pm to 8pm. Removal from her residence in Foxfield on Sunday afternoon to St. Malachy’s Church, Reaghstown, arriving for Requiem Mass at 2.30pm. Burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery.

The death has occurred of Jim Smith Drogheda, Louth

Jim Smith, St. Finian’s Park, Drogheda and formerly of Church Street. 10th August 2023. Peacefully at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. Jim, beloved husband of Breda and loving dad to Fiona, Anthony, Miriam and Tracey. Sadly missed by his wife and family, sons in law Brian, Shane and Denis, daughter in law Natasha, grandchildren Bromwyn, Patrick, Dean, Luke, Adam, Cory, Amelia and Amber, great grandchildren Harry and Kyran, brother Gerard, brothers in law, sisters in law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing at his home on Saturday and Sunday afternoon from 4pm until 6pm. Removal on Monday morning at 10.30am walking to Holy Family Church, Ballsgrove arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in St. Peter’s Cemetery.

House private on Monday please. Please leave a personal message of sympathy for the family in the ‘condolences’ section below.
