Louth County Council Library Service have launched the ‘My Little Library Book Bag’ initiative to help children across the county navigate the beginning of primary school.
Libraries Ireland has put together a free bag of books for primary school aged children that can be collected at any library branch in County Louth.
Louth Library Service is welcoming all 4 and 5 year old children in to collect their book bags and begin their library membership journey.
Book bags are available in both Irish and English and contain:
“We hope that once they visit the library to pick up the book bag, our new library members will come back regularly to keep their bag filled up with borrowed books and to take part in storytimes and fun activities which are all free,” said Amanda Branigan, Acting County Librarian, Louth Library Service.
