Bathers are advised not to swim at this location due to elevated results identified in a sample taken from the water on the 29th August 2023.
The Council said: "The beach at Templetown is closed to bathers until further notice. Investigations are underway and the bathing water is to be re-sampled and continuously monitored."
In a post made to social media the council have listed "possible runoff from land" as the likely cause of the elevated levels.
