Driver caught travelling at 105k/hrs in 60k zone as part of speed operations in north Louth

Dundalk Roads Policing Unit say they have been out and about in the last couple of days in Bellurgan and Lordship on patrol.

The roads unit say they made a number of detections of note including:

  • A HGV driver detected on mobile phone in Lordship with the driver being issued with a Fixed Charge Notice (FCN) issued.
  • A Mondeo driver detected travelling at 105k/hrs in 60k zone at 3pm just as school finished with prosecution to follow.
  • A vehicle travelling at 85k/hr in 60k zone at Bellurgan. A FCN was issued to the driver.
