Dundalk court: Fined for house party during Covid restrictions

A mum who allowed her daughter to host a party in her home during Covid restrictions was fined €250 at Dundalk district court last week.

Aisling McGowan (42) with an address at Harbour Cottages, Carlingford was summoned for holding an event in a dwelling on May eighth 2021.

The investigating garda told the court she attended the defendant's address shortly before midnight.

House parties were not permitted at the time and the witness added a fight broke out and an assault also occurred.
