Junior Cert results celebrated in Dundalk's St Louis school

Parents and students gathered on Wednesday 18th October to celebrate the distribution of Junior Cycle 2023 results at St Louis Dundalk.

There were jubilant scenes when the class of 2023 realised the high standard of the results they achieved through their hard work and support of their parents and teachers.

Principal Michelle Dolan, Deputy Principal Mary Gilmore and Year Head Siobhán Higgins all complimented the students on their great achievements as they presented the results on the day.

They all reminded them of what they had overcome in recent years and how proud the whole school and their families were very proud.

Research tells us only two percent of students nationally can expect to achieve a distinction grade (90%+ ) so students and staff were delighted to celebrate 15 distinction grades across 11 different subjects, demonstrating the calibre of teaching and learning in school.

In fact, two talented students achieved four Distinction grades each!

Another strong feature was the number of students who received some learning support or other interventions over the years and who exceeded their own expectations in the state exams- this is a clear indication of the power of the growth mindset which underpins the inclusive vision and ethos of St Louis Dundalk, a spokesperson for the school said.

The students, on their own initiative, all waited patiently until every student had received their envelope and then opened them together, demonstrating how united and supportive of each other the group is.

Well done to all!
