Garden of Remembrance on Ardee Road in Dunleer.
2023 was an unprecedented year for the work of Tidy Towns in Dunleer. Among the biggest projects they completed was the Garden of Remembrance on Ardee Road in Dunleer.
It took over two years of planning and work to complete the garden and it was opened on 25th June 2023.
The Tidy Towns group completed the furniture for the garden with granite seats which was completed towards the end of August.
This was one of the many projects completed by the Dunleer Tidy Towns during 2023.
The group are holding a community Awards Night on Thursday 30th November 2023 at 7.30pm in Grove House on Main street Dunleer, with the garden and all the other projects to be shown in a powerpoint presentation on the night.
There will be Winning Garden Awards, Special Project Awards and the Volunteer of the Year Award.
The children of Scoil Bhride will receive their awards for their Bio Diversity Art Competition held earlier in the year and there will be tea, coffee and finger foods afterwards.
Several Public Representatives have said they will be attending and the Cathaoirleach of Louth County Council Paula Butterly will speak on the role of Tidy Towns in Community on the night.
It is open to members of the public to attend on the night so do come along and see what has been happening in your town in the last 12 months.
There is no charge for the event.
“We look forward to meeting you there.”
