ESB Networks has announced that it will be carrying out a "sizeable job" on Chapel Street in Dundalk, tomorrow 29 November.
This work is being carried out, ESB Networks says, to facilitate the erection of scaffolding at a building on Chapel street and will entail the replacement of bare overhead conductor with insulated overhead conductor.
A traffic management plan will be in place for the duration of the works.
Aidan McGrath, ESB Construction Supervisor North East, told the Dundalk Democrat today that, "while we hope there is not too much disruption, these works are necessary for the safe completion of the building works on Chapel Street".
