The funeral of young Louth woman Kate Keenan takes place this weekend

The funeral of 25-year-old Kate Keenan, who died in a tragic car crash during Storm Isha, will take place this Sunday.

Kate Keenan of Knockbridge, Co Louth tragically died when the van she was travelling in as a passenger collided with a tree in Carnalogue in the early hours of Monday morning (January 22).  

The young local woman had only recently celebrated her 25th birthday.

Kate was the beloved daughter of Wayne and Cathy, sister of Rachel and Ross, granddaughter of Eleanor and the late Barney Keenan and Brian, and the late Angela Gregory. She was also the godmother of Brandon. 

She will be missed by her heartbroken parents, sister, brother, grandparents, uncles, aunts, godchild, cousins, relatives and friends.  

Reposing at her home this Friday and Saturday, from 12 noon-8pm.

Removal on Sunday, January 28 at 10.50am, driving to St Mary’s Church, Knockbridge (Eircode A91 EV56), arriving for Funeral Mass at 11.30am. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
