The Cooley Credit Union Primary Schools Quiz took place in St Marys Hall on Friday 26th January.
There were two age categories (under 11 & under 13 ) and there was a large entry of 26 teams - 11 in the U11 category and 15 in the under 13 section.
The winning teams who emerged after a titanic struggle were Mullaghbuoy National School,represented by Eoin McMorland, Jason Woods, Lucy O’Rourke and Thomas Cumiskey in the U 11 category.
Monksland National School represented by Meabh Walsh, Ava Sheridan, Aaron Connor, Oisin Kelly won the U 13 category.
These two teams will now go forward to represent Cooley Credit Union in the next stage (Chapter level ) of the national competition which will take place in early March, and Cooley Credit Union extends its best wishes to the boys and girls in this regard.
