Local band Pork Pie have released their second single 'Careful as you go' from their forthcoming album 'Golden Leaf Sheets'.
In 2021, Pork Pie recorded their debut album "Pterodactyl," which has received excellent reviews.
Since then, the four piece band has been in the studio recording and is back with a new album 'Golden Leaf Sheets' which is set for release in early 2024, with two singles already released from it.
The band's first single was received extremely well with Rock Noir Magazine saying: “The bands sound, characterized by a nostalgic aura, creates an irresistible sonic landscape that reflects the band's dedication and countless hours spent honing their craft in the rehearsal room.
Pork Pie's new single 'Careful as you go' is the second to be released on 16th February.

Pork Pie is a four-piece contemporary alternative eclectic rock outfit, with strong elements of garage, funk, and psychedelia, playing almost exclusively original songs.
The four original members, Shane Brett (Drums), Michael Laverty (Bass), Michael Stafford (Vocals, lyrics,Piano, Guitar and Alto Sax), and Peter Laverty (Lead Guitar), have gigged extensively and played multiple festivals and leading music venues in Europe, including the Spirit Store in Dundalk, The Paradiso in Amsterdam, Kapu Culture Centre in Linz, Austria and The Dublin Castle in London.
In October 2021, the band was sponsored by the Irish Government (Department of Arts and Culture) to play an exclusive online gig at the famous Great Northern Brewery in Ireland, which was released to rave reviews in the music press.
