The event takes place on Saturday 9 March at the Patrick Kavanagh Centre in Inniskeen
Fiddle player and composer Zoe Conway, and guitarist John Mc Intyre, are set to take to the stage of the Patrick Kavanagh Centre in Inniskeen on Saturday 9 March at 8.30pm, with an exciting blend of eclectic fiddle and guitar music.
Local artists Zoë Conway and John Mc Intyre, are a husband and wife duo who bring to the stage, sympathetic arrangements of traditional Irish music, compositions and songs, old and new.
They will be joined on onstage on the night by master craftsman and fiddler Jim McKillop. The concert will be preceded by a documentary scored by Zoë ‘From a Forest to a Fiddle’, which follows Jim McKillop, a master fiddle maker, making his last fiddle before retiring.
The documentary captures master craftsman Jim Mc Killop making a fiddle in his rural workshop in the Cooley Mountains. This meditative timelapse art-film features a soundtrack of Zoë’s own score, performed by Zoë on fiddle and John on guitar.
Tickets for the event, which is presented by Féile Patrick Byrne, are available for €15/10 and can be purchased here or from the venue box office 042 9378560.
