Louth Gardaí make arrest after discovery of thousands of benzodiazepines

A large quantity of illegal drugs have been seized by the Divisional Drugs Unit (DDU) in Louth. 

According to An Garda Síochána, the Louth DDU in Drogheda executed a warrant under the Misuse of Drugs Act at an address in the town, after which they discover approximately 50,000 tablets of benzodiazepines. 

The drugs were reportedly packaged in 87 individual deal bags. 

One person was arrested, charged and is now before the courts.
