De La Salle in Dundalk celebrate World Book Day

Pupils take part in Dragon's Den Books competition

To celebrate World Book Day, De La Salle College ran Dragon’s Den Books competition.

There were 23 participating students from De La Salle College and St. Louis Convent School.

Students presented their book to a panel of judges made up of Ms. Leona Burgess Louth Library Services, Ms. Sheila Boylan, St. Louis Convent and Mr. Oisin Tormey, De La Salle College.

The event was live streamed around the whole school so all students and staff had the opportunity to view the event.

The winners were Nancy Coleman, second Cian Halpin, third Abbie McElroy, fourth Dooa Elhag and highly commended Rion McDonnell.

A big thank you to all students who took part and those who helped to make Word Book Day a very enjoyable event for the whole school community, a spokesperson concluded.

Well done to everyone involved!
