Tributes pour in for 'one of a kind' father and grandfather from Louth
Tributes have poured in for beloved father and grandfather, Martin Collins, who passed away peacefully in the presence of his family on Tuesday March 19.
Martin, from Georgian Close, Drogheda, Co. Louth is predeceased by his father Peadar.
Dearly loved father of Angela and Valerie, Martin will be sadly missed by his daughters and their mother AnnMarie, his loving mother Kathleen, his adored grandchildren Jason, Luke, Seán, Jake, Ciara and Andy, his son-in-law Mac, brother Pierce, sisters Cathriona, Ruth, Sylvia, Suzanne, Claire and June, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, relatives and his large circle of friends.
Those who knew and remembered Martin have been leaving heartfelt condolences on RIP.ie, with one mourner writing,
"Deepest sympathy to all Martin's family. His soul is by the Boyne mowing new meadows. Rest in peace Martin. We will miss the chats and the craic."
Another wrote,
"To all the Collins family - I was saddened to hear of Martin’s death. I spent many weekends of my youth in the Collins household and was always welcomed like another daughter.
I remember Martin as an always smiling young man - he will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him. I hope you can find some comfort in your memories of happy times spent with him. May he rest in eternal peace."
While another simply wrote,
"Very sorry to hear about Martin's passing. He was a gentleman always a kind word. May he rest in peace."
Funeral Arrangements
Reposing at F Watson & Son Funeral Directors, Dyer St, (A92 W7EP) on Thursday evening from 4pm until 7pm.
Cremation service will take place on Friday morning at 10.30am in Dardistown Crematorium, Dublin for family and close friends.
