'One of the good ones' - Tributes pour in following sad and sudden death of beloved man from Louth

Aaron (AC) Callan passed unexpectedly on Monday

Tributes have poured in follwoing the sad and sudden death of beloved father and grandfather, Aaron (AC) Callan (Callans Bar, Church Street), from Loughantarve, Knockbridge and formerly of Avondale Park, Avenue Road, Dundalk.

Aaron died unexpectedly at his residence on Monday, May 20, 2024.

Aaron will be sadly missed by his heartbroken wife Michelle, daughter, grandchild, mother, granny, granda, sister, brother, sister in law Karen Maguire, brothers in law Mark Maguire and Tony, aunts Bernie, Siobhan, Elaine, Shelly, uncles Francis and John, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Heartfelt condolences have poured in on RIP.ie, from those who knew and remembered Aaron, with one mourner saying,

"Such sad news to hear this morning, rest in forever peace Aaron, one of the good ones, gone too soon but never be forgotten, sincere condolences to Michelle and the entire Callan family at this sad time, Rest in peace Aaron you will be sorely missed."

Another wrote,

"We are absolutely lost for words at this devastating news. Aaron was an absolute gentleman and a beautiful person. He loved to come up for a song and belt out a bit of Garth Brooks in his own amazing Aaron way, which he did just a few weeks back, and this is what makes what has happened even more difficult to comprehend. Our sincere condolences to Michelle, and to Aaron's wider family circle. We are completely heartbroken for all of you. RIP Aaron."

While another simply wrote,

"Rest easy Aaron. Never spent a day with you where my face didn't hurt from laughing. Such a gent."

Funeral Arrangements

Aaron will repose at his home (A91C925) from 12pm to 8pm on Wednesday and Thursday. Removal from his home on Friday morning at 10.40am walking to St Mary’s Church, Knockbridge arriving for Mass at 11am.

Burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery.
