Gardai investigate two burglaries in north Louth

Gardai say investigations are ongoing.

Gardai are investigating two burglaries in the north Louth area that occurred on Sunday evening last.

The first incident occurred at a shed on a property in Drumad at around 8:30pm and a number of items were taken.

Gardai say no arrests have been made at this time.

The second was an attempted burglary at a residence in Faughart Upper, shortly before 9:00pm on Sunday.

It is believed the suspects were disturbed during the burglary and fled in a silver BMW when disturbed by the homeowner who attempted to block their escape and had their vehicle damaged as a result.

Gardai say investigations are ongoing.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have information on either incident to contact Dromad Garda station on 042 9388400 or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111.
