Michael Joseph O'Neill passed away on Tuesday
Tributes have poured in following the sad passing of Michael Joseph O’Neill, late of Farm Road, Annagassan, Dunleer, co Louth.
Michael passed away on Tuesday, July 30, in his 79th year, peacefully at his home surrounded by his family.
Michael, beloved husband of the late Catherine (née Carron) and loving father of Michael, John, Oliver and Rosemary (Grimes).
He is predeceased by his parents Michael and Mary (Hanratty), his grandson Kevin and his sister Mary (Hanna).
Deeply regretted by his sons, daughter, grandchildren Michael, David, Katie, Thomas, Abbie, Darragh, Moya, Adam and Keelin, son-in-law Robbie, daughters-in-law Mary, Bernie and Tracey, brothers Peter, Paul, Brian, Sean, sister Noleen, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.
Heartfelt condolences have been left on RIP.ie, from those who knew and fondly remembered Michael, with one mourner writing,
"So, so sorry to learn of the death of Mick. He was one of life's gentlemen, always encouraging & advice freely given. We extend our sincere sympathy to Michael, John, Oliver, Rosemary & extended families on your great loss. Go mbeidh sè í measc na nAingeal go deo."
Another wrote,
"On behalf of the committee and members of The Irish Bakery Association please accept our sincere condolences on the passing of Michael. A true gentleman and skilled Baker who excellent in his craft. May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace. Ar dheis De go raibh a anam dilis."
While another wrote,
"Sincere condolences to Michael, John, Oliver & Rosie and extended families on the passing of your dad. A gentleman and a great worker and a great man for a chat whenever you’d meet him. RIP Mick."
Funeral Arrangements
Reposing at Connor’s Funeral Home, Dunleer (Eircode A92 V38H) on Thursday from 3pm until 8pm. Removal on Friday morning at 11.15am to Saint Finian’s Church, Dillonstown, arriving for Funeral Mass at 12 noon.
