Louth County Council is hiring for a new position with an attractive starting salary.
According to a listing posted by the council today (August 9), applications from suitable candidates are being sought for the role of 'Ganger'.
The wholetime and pensionable role pays between €728.02 and €752.18 gross per week, which amounts to over €2,900 per month or almost €35,000 per year.
The successful candidate must be a working ganger, have knowledge of health and safety, possess a full clean B driving licence, and possess a current Safe Pass Card.
The ganger will carry out works in the areas of housing and building, water and sewerage, roads and transportation, recreation and amenity, and environmental protection.
The chosen candidate will be required to work a 29 hour work week.
Applications for the position will be accepted until Tuesday August 27 at 4.30pm.
