Dundalk company launches innovative product in Tesco stores nationwide

As children return to school and we enter the colder months, parents across the country have no doubt started to think about the return of coughs and colds.

To lend a helping hand, Tonstix Honey Jelly Pops, the flagship product of innovative Dundalk based healthcare company Soothing Solutions Ltd, has launched in 110 Tesco stores across Ireland.

This significant milestone marks the company’s first full-scale entry into grocery retail, making its child-friendly sore throat and cough relief solution more accessible to families nationwide.  

Set up by Co-Founders Sinéad Crowther and Denise Lauaki, Tonstix Pops has been developed with the specific needs of children in mind, providing a safe and effective way to soothe sore throats and dry coughs.

The partnership with Tesco is an especially significant, full-circle moment for Sinéad, having worked in Tesco Balbriggan for many years before starting her own company.

Sinead Crowther, CEO of Soothing Solutions Ltd. said: “Returning to Tesco with my own product is a dream come true.

"I’m incredibly proud of this milestone and thankful for the support I have received from Tesco, to help to bring comfort to children and parents when they need it most.

"I came up with the idea for the business after leaving Tesco to look after my young son who had an accident in 2017, and spent four years developing the product to ensure its efficacy, safety and child-friendliness.” 

Recent studies, conducted in collaboration with the Shannon Applied Biotechnology Centre, have demonstrated the efficacy of the unique Tonstix formulation which has been shown to reduce inflammation markers in human throat cells.

This scientific backing, combined with the child-friendly design of the pops, sets Tonstix apart as a reliable solution for parents seeking relief for their little ones.
