Australian discount pharmacy chain Chemist Warehouse officially opened its latest store at Drogheda’s M1 Retail Park on Monday, 16th September. The opening marks the company’s first store in the county and one of several planned new store openings across Ireland over the coming months.
Spanning 9000 sqft, the Drogheda store has created 28 new jobs for the local community, including three pharmacist positions. The new store in Co. Louth will also feature hundreds of household brands across beauty, wellness, and baby. It will also stock a selection of Irish-owned brands, including Waterwipes, Elave & Ovelle, which are manufactured in Drogheda, as well as brands such as Fabu, Revive, SOSU, Bellamianta, Vit-Hit, Luna Hair, Bare By Vogue and more.
Since entering the Irish market in 2020, the Australian brand has opened 11 stores across the country, with four stores in Dublin, three in Cork, one in Carlow, two in Meath and one now in Co. Louth. The Australian pharmacy giant has ambitious plans for further expansion throughout Ireland in 2024 and beyond.

This Saturday, 21st September, Chemist Warehouse Drogheda is hosting a customer event in-store to celebrate the launch. Customers on the day will be treated to live music with LMFM street fleet at the store from 12pm-2pm, with prizes to be won throughout the day.
