Dundalk De La Salle 's Past Pupil Union set to be launched this month

The DLS Union is set to be launched this month

This year marks an exciting milestone for De La Salle College in Dundalk with the launch of the DLS Union, the school’s past students' union.

The idea for the union was sparked by the Class of 2024, who expressed a desire to stay connected after leaving the school for the final time last June. This new initiative aims to create meaningful connections, lifelong learning opportunities, and impactful community-building efforts for past students.

“The DLS Union is designed to foster a culture of mentorship, inclusivity, and mutual support among alumni, a spokesperson said.

“The goal is to create a thriving community where all past students can grow both professionally and personally, leaving behind a legacy of inspiration and progress for future generations of De La Salle students.”

Starting with the Class of 2024, each graduating 6th Year student will be invited to join the union, but they are also encouraging all past students of De La Salle to reconnect and take part in upcoming events.

“As the union grows, we hope to add more events to the calendar and are very much open to suggestions from union members for future gatherings. Details of events will be communicated in updates on our social media pages.

“Membership in the DLS Union offers a wide range of benefits.

“Past students can expect to gain a strong sense of social connection and belonging, valuable networking opportunities, and a chance to give back to the community. Members will also have access to an alumni directory, providing a lasting connection to fellow graduates.

“Current students will also benefit from the union. Past students can serve as mentors, support school events, and offer inspiration and motivation to younger students, helping to instill a sense of pride and belonging within the broader De La Salle community.

“We warmly invite all past students of De La Salle to join the union and stay tuned for future events

Membership is free, and anyone interested can email union@delasalle.ie to become part of this exciting new chapter for De La Salle College.
