Alan Doyle passed away on Sunday
Tributes have been paid following the sad death of Alan Doyle, late of Brookville Park, Drogheda and formerly of Ballsgrove.
Alan passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 17, 2024, in Beaumont Hospital, after a long illness, surrounded by his loving family.
He is predeceased by his parents Larry and Chrissie, brother Kenny and sister-in-law Lily.
Beloved husband of Carol and loving Dad to Wendy, Debbie, Kelly and his only son Glen, Alan will be very sadly missed by his wife, daughters, son, sons-in-law Eric and Peter, daughter-in-law Lisa Marie, his eight adorable grandchildren, Uncle Harry and Auntie Gaye, nieces, nephew, extended relatives and friends.
Heartfelt condolences have been left on RIP.ie from those who knew and fondly remembered Alan, with one mourner writing,
"My sincere condolences to carol glen Kelly, Debbie, Wendy and the extended Doyle family on the very sad passing of Alan he was a very sincere and kind gentleman a great family man and a talented singer and musician. I was lucky to have been one of his many friends. I first met Alan in 1972 and had the honour of soldering with him for many years. Rest well true and faithful soldier your duty well done."
Another wrote,
"Carol and family, condolences to all on the passing of Alan. Memories I have many, I smile when I go back to 1974 our army day's, Alan's little mini 8 track tape player, the Eagles blasting, sun shining and both of us hitting for the Slad. Singing, laughing, joking all the way. RIP, cousin and friend."
While another wrote,
"Sincere condolences to Carol, Wendy, Debbie, Kelly, Glen, extended Families on the passing of Alan, a great musician well respected by all who knew him, a kind and decent Gentleman. Great memories with him playing in the Well pub. May He Rest in Peace."
Funeral Arrangements
Reposing at Townley’s Funeral Home, Crosslanes (A92 XN75) on Wednesday evening from 5pm until 8pm.
Funeral Mass on Thursday morning at 11:30am in Our Lady of Lourdes Church. Burial afterwards in Calvary Cemetery.
Family flowers only. Donations, if desired, to St. Peter’s ward, Beaumont Hospital Dublin www.beaumontfundraising.ie
