Three nights of great music at Toales in Dundalk

Gurriers play in Toales on Saturday night

There's fireside blues, heavy metal mayhem, and sold-out punk energy in Toales on Crow Street in Dundalk this week.

Thursday 21st November - Fireside Sessions Presents CHRISTY O'HANLON (Crow Black Chicken) - Show starts 9pm - FREE Admission.

Toales' Fireside Sessions is an acoustic club that showcases the best in acoustic acts, always inside by the fire in the bar, always free admission, and is very proud to welcome Cork's finest bluesman Christy O'Hanlon, the front man of the critically acclaimed power trio Crow Black Chicken, who combine elements of hard rock with the blues of bands like Gov’t mule, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Led Zeppelin.

Expect a more gentle, acoustic show this time, with plenty of stories and yarns from the man himself. This is going to be something special and, unbelievably, it's completely FREE, in keeping with all Fireside Sessions events. It all kicks off around 9pm.

Saturday 23rd November - Gurriers + special guests Muckno - SOLD OUT - Doors 8pm

Formed on the cusp of a global pandemic, Dublin’s newest alternative addition, Gurriers, embody the emerging Irish genres of post-punk, noise rock and shoegaze.

For the last few years Gurriers have been developing their addictive and dangerous sound, playing festivals throughout Europe and beyond, including SWN, Mad Cool, Reeperbahn, Left of the Dial, London Calling, Latitude, Haldern Pop, Off, The Great Escape, Pukkelpop, Pitchfork Music Festival London, Electric Picnic and All Together Now.

Scheduled to play South by Southwest in Austin, Texas last March, Gurriers pulled out alongside virtually all other Irish participants, boycotting the event due to its sponsorship by the US Army.

This October, Gurriers embarked on their biggest tour to date in support of their blistering debut album, "Come and See", a truly thrilling collection of razor-sharp progressive punk songs, creating an exhilarating statement of intent by five people fed up with tiptoeing politely around the chaos. Come and see for yourself.

Support on the night comes from Castleblayney artist Muckno. Doors open 8pm.

This show is sold out, Admission by Ticket only.
