The first weekend acoustic jam of 2025 will take place January 10 with Nick Puyane and TJ Murphy kicking off the first session of the year

Fireside Sessions heat up Toales in Dundalk as Acoustic January  begins
The beloved Fireside Sessions, an acoustic club celebrated for showcasing the finest original acts in an intimate, cozy setting by the fire, is taking over Toales this Friday January 10.
Every Friday and Saturday night, there will be free admission to exceptional performances by the best in local acoustic talent.
Friday 10th January - Fireside Sessions present Acoustic January featuring Nick Puyane plus special guest T.J. Murphy.
Friday sees the return to The Fireside Sessions starting with the exceptionally talented singer/songwriter and pianist Nick Puyane (Evil Harrisons, The 1922s, The Magnificent Loafers), who writes songs that have been described as “infused with shades of Randy Newman and a scintilla of the Divine Comedy” and “Stephen Sondheim willingly handcuffed to Gavin Friday”.
Support on the night comes from Toales' favourite TJ Murphy, who can be regularly seen and heard busking on the streets of Dundalk, performing superb original songs that perfectly portray modern urban life with all its ups and downs. Show starts at around 9.30pm, and as always, admission is free.
Saturday 11th January - Fireside Sessions present Acoustic January featuring Shock Sorrow plus special guest Pete Rafter.
Another Fireside Sessions Acoustic Club night, showcasing the finest original music in an intimate, cozy setting, with free admission to exceptional performances by the best in local acoustic talent and this Saturday sees the return of the amazing duo Shock Sorrow.
Joining forces from the ashes of former metal and rock bands, Keith and Steff Caffrey united to form alt-rock/acoustic two-piece Shock Sorrow. Their distinctive signature of highly personal lyrics delivered with truly impassioned vocals, balanced with poignant guitars has earned them their reputation as some of the best songwriters in Ireland’s acoustic rock scene.
Support on the night comes from Peter Rafter, with his own twist on acoustic blues covers.
Show starts at 9.30pm, and as always, admission is free.
