Alice Carroll passed away at Our Lady of Lourdes hospital
Alice Carroll née Wall passed away unexpectedly after an illness at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital surrounded by her loving family in her 82nd year.
Mrs Carroll was from Maple Drive, Drogheda and formerly of Davidstown, Co. Meath and passed away on the 21st January 2025.
She will be dearly missed by her children Tom, George, Audrey, Dawn and Catherine, daughters-in-law Nicola and Gillian, sons-in-law Niall and Cliff, grandchildren Amy, Conan, Óisin, Áine, Louis, Philippa, William, Ada, Sam, Claire and Tina, brothers Oliver and Finbar, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Mrs Carroll received many heartfelt messages on RIP.ie as she was a big part of the community in Drogheda, Louth.
One message said, "Tom, George, Audrey, Dawn and Catherine. I am so sorry to hear about your dear mother. Alice was a true lady and always made time for a chat whenever we met. Always had a smile on her face too. My deepest condolences to you all. My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time.
Another message read, "Tom, George, Audrey, Dawn and Catherine, we’re shocked and saddened to hear your Mam has passed. She was a great friend and neighbour throughout the last 60 years in Maple Drive. May her gentle soul rest in peace."
Another said, "We are so sorry to hear the very sad news of Alice’s passing. Deepest sympathies Tom, George, Audrey, Dawn, Catherine and your families. I have great memories growing up of Alice, a lady who will be sorely missed. Rest peacefully Alice."
Funeral Arrangements:
Reposing at her home on Thursday and Friday from 4pm until 7pm.
Funeral Mass on Saturday at 11.45am in St Augustinian Church, Drogheda.
Burial will take place afterwards in Grangegeeth Cemetery, Slane.
