'We were blown away' - Louth student creates stunning design for local coffee shop take-out cups

Panama Coffee in Dundalk is proud to introduce its brand-new take-out cups, designed by a remarkably talented Transition Year (TY) student, Maddie Cristel, from St. Vincent’s in Dundalk.

Maddie, an aspiring artist with a keen eye for detail, created the intricate pencil-drawn design during her coffee break while on work experience at the café.

Using a blank take-out cup as her canvas, she sketched a beautifully detailed depiction of the shop’s interior, capturing the essence of Panama Coffee in a truly unique way.

Impressed by her creativity, the team at Panama Coffee decided to bring her vision to life, placing an order for a whopping 5,000 cups featuring Maddie’s design.

Now, customers can enjoy their take-out coffee while admiring an original piece of art—one that reflects the atmosphere and charm of the café itself.

“We were blown away by Maddie’s talent and the level of detail in her work,” said Stephen Egan, owner of Panama Coffee.

“She managed to capture the heart of our shop in a simple pencil sketch, and we knew right away that we had to share it with our customers.”

The new cups are now available at Panama Coffee, offering coffee lovers not just a great cup of coffee but also a moment to appreciate the work of a young local artist.

This initiative highlights Panama Coffee’s commitment to supporting creativity and the next generation of Irish artists.
