RIP: 'My old buddy'- Popular Louth man paid tribute by whole community

RIP: Harry Bellew

Tributes have rushed in for Harry Bellew from Wynne's Terrace in Dundalk in Louth following his recent passing.

Harry passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, 8th February 2025, at Beaumont Hospital, Dublin.

Harry was a much loved son and brother and will be very sadly missed and remembered by his father Harry Senior, brothers Raymond, Brian, Sean and Brendan, sisters Kathleen, Anne and Phyllis, brothers and sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family relatives, neighbours and friends.

One tribute read, "So very sad to hear about the loss of our friend Harry, many drinks and laughter we shared over the years. You’ll be greatly missed my old buddy x".

Another said, "So very sorry to hear this sad news. I have very fond memories of Harry down the years. MJ’s, the Shed in Oriel Park, away trips supporting ’Da Town’, and always the cheeky smile and great humour any time we met. My heartfelt sympathy to Anne, Raymond, Harry snr. and all the Bellew family on your sad loss. May he rest in peace."

"On behalf of all the members of the Dundalk Brass Band we wish to express our sincere condolences on the sad passing of Harry Jnr, May he rest in peace," another tribute read.

Funeral Arrangements:

Reposing at the family home, Wynne's Terrace on Tuesday until 8pm.
Removal on Wednesday morning at 10.30am on foot to St. Patrick's Cathedral arriving for Funeral Mass at 11 o'clock, followed by burial in St. Patrick's cemetery.
