The fourth annual Táin International Hillwalking Festival is set to return to Louth once again this coming June.

Follow in the footsteps of Cú Chulainn and Queen Meadhbh as you embark on the Táin Bó Cúailnge trail in search of the Brown Bull of Cooley. Along the way, you can enjoy the stunning scenery around the magnificent Cooley Peninsula and discover ancient archaeology of Celtic sweat lodges, ring forts, cairns, and more!

This truly memorable hiking experience will be taking place in the Cooley Mountains on the weekend of June 14 and 15.

Depending on your fitness level, the adventure is broken into three levels across Saturday and Sunday. On the first day of the event, there is grade one (16.6km), two (11.5km) and three (9.7km). On the second and final day there will be more options to hike also, such as, grade one (15.3km), two (9km) and three (7.2km).
