A 36 year old man who smashed the glass in the front door of a home in the housing estate where he lived, has been given a one week sentence at Dundalk district court.

Jeff Dooley with an address at Glenwood, Dublin Road, Dundalk was charged with criminal damage arising out of the incident on June 15th 2021.

The Defence barrister said his client had drink taken and it happened following a phone call during which he said various things were said back and forth.

The court heard at the time Mr Dooley had no previous convictions, but he is now serving a sentence imposed by Dundalk Circuit Court in February, and has a release date in September and his barrister added the defendant has made good use of his time in custody.
