Planning extension sought for 65 homes in mid-Louth
An extension of duration of planning permission, granted by Louth County Council in 2019 for 65 new houses in Ardee, has been sought by the developer.
The Ardee Partnership was granted planning permission in 2019 for the development at Bridgegate, Rathgorey & Mulladrillen, Drogheda Road, Ardee, Co Louth, on a site area of c.3.70 hectares across two parcels of land.
The proposed 65 houses comprise 18 two-bed, terrace, two storey dwellings; 35 three-bed, detached and semi detached, two storey dwellings; four, four-bed, semi-detached two storey dwellings; two, four-bed, detached two storey dwellings; and a further six, three-bed, semi detached, two storey dwellings.
The 2019 application also provided for a community facility extending to 176sqm gross floor area and a crèche building with a gross floor area of 378sqm, which would replace a previously granted crèche and commercial units at the location.
A decision is due on the application for extension of duration, which is at a pre-validation stage, by 6 July 2025.
