May they rest in peace

The death has occurred of Leo Gormley of Lower Point Road, Dundalk, Co Louth

Peacefully, in the exceptional care of the staff in The Louth County Hospital, on Tuesday 27 May 2025. Predeceased by his parents William and Annie, brothers Dan, Br. David, Gerard, Brian, Liam, Kevin and John, sisters Kathleen, Nora, Monica and Eileen. Beloved and cherished husband of Nora. Leo will be forever loved and sadly missed by his wife, brother Michael, sister-in-law Rosaleen, his many adored nephews and nieces, extended family, wonderful neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Shevlin’s Funeral Home, Barrack Street on Thursday 5pm to 7pm. Removal on Friday afternoon to St. Joseph’s Redemptorist Church arriving for Funeral Mass at 2.30pm, followed by burial afterwards in St. Fursey’s Cemetery, Haggardstown. House strictly private.

The death has occurred of Róisin McCaul (née Gaskin) of Commons Road, Dromiskin, and formerly St Clements Park, Dundalk, Co Louth

Unexpectedly, but peacefully, in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday 27 May 2025. Predeceased by her parents Noel and Bridget and sister Teresa. Beloved partner and best friend of Michael, much loved and cherished mother of Laura, Terry, Barry and Shauna, adored grandmother of Olivia, Séan, Kristaps, Ryan, Michael, John, Conor, Shannon, Charlotte, James, and Daniel, and great-grandmother of Sofia, Lauryn and Luke.

Róisin will be deeply missed by her heartbroken family, her partner, sons and daughters and their father Séan, her adored grandchildren and great-grandchildren, daughter-in-law Aiva, brothers Tony and Paul, sister-in-law Anne, nephews, nieces, extended family, and all of her wonderful friends and neighbours.

Reposing at her home, Commons Road, Dromiskin, on Thursday 2pm to 8pm. Removal on Friday morning at 10.30am on foot to St. Peter’s Church, Dromiskin, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11 o’clock, followed by burial afterwards in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Dundalk.

The death has occurred of Luke Torris of Lawlesstown, Dunleer, Co Louth

Peacefully, in the wonderful care of the staff at Bon Secours Hospital, Dublin, after a short illness, aged 86 years. Luke, beloved husband of Eileen (née Flood) and loving father of Mary, Luke, Madeleine, Declan, Aiden and Colm. Predeceased by his parents Joe and Mary and brothers Jim, Paddy and Oliver, sister-in-law Anna and nephews Joe and Shay.
Deeply regretted by his wife, sons, daughters, brothers Vincie, Tony and Noel, grandchildren Sabrina, Sophia, Christina, Elena, Jill, Roisín, Fiona, Oliver and Michael, sons-in-law Martin and Brian, daughters -in-law Anita and Kamila, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Connor’s Funeral Home, Dunleer, on Friday from 4pm until 8pm. Removal on Saturday to Saint Brigid's Church, Dunleer, arriving for Funeral Mass at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in Dromin Cemetery. House private, please.
