Saturday 2nd August – Sound of Sabbath - Black Sabbath Tribute. Doors 8pm. Admission €10 online at Eventbrite / €12 door.

Heavy metal fans in Dundalk are in for a powerful night of music and memory as Belfast’s premier Black Sabbath tribute act, Sound of Sabbath, take the stage at Toales Live Venue on Saturday, August 2.

The show comes at a poignant time for fans of the genre due to the very recent tragic passing of Ozzy Osbourne, the band’s iconic frontman and "Prince Of Darkness", coming just weeks after Black Sabbath’s historic “Back to the Beginning” concert in Birmingham's Villa Park on July 5th.

The concert marked a final farewell for the godfathers of heavy metal.

The original members reunited for one last hometown performance in Birmingham, the city where it all began.

The emotional night—featuring a seated performance from Ozzy due to his declining health—was a fitting end to a legacy that transformed rock music forever.

Now, Dundalk audiences have the chance to celebrate that same legacy as Sound of Sabbath faithfully recreate the sights and sounds of Black Sabbath’s most iconic eras.

Covering both the Ozzy Osbourne and Ronnie James Dio years, the band deliver blistering renditions of classics like Paranoid, Iron Man, Heaven and Hell, and War Pigs, capturing the dark, powerful atmosphere that defined Sabbath’s genre-shaping sound.

With meticulous musicianship and vintage stage presence, Sound of Sabbath don’t just play the songs—they resurrect the spirit of a band that laid the groundwork for generations of heavy music.

For fans of Black Sabbath and heavy metal alike, this promises to be an unforgettable night in tribute to a band—and a frontman—that changed music history.Doors open at 8pm.

Tickets are €10 in advance via Eventbrite or €12 on the door.

Sunday 3rd August – The Defects + The Gakk + Fat Rabbit - Doors 6pm - Admission €10.

Punk fans are in for a treat on the August Bank Holiday Sunday as The Defects, one of Belfast’s original punk powerhouses, hit the stage at Toales Live Venue in Dundalk.

They’ll be joined by local favourites The Gakk and Fat Rabbit for a night of raw, high-octane live music.

Formed in Belfast in 1978, The Defects were at the heart of the Northern Irish punk explosion, sharing stages with the likes of Stiff Little Fingers and The Outcasts.

Their politically charged lyrics and no-frills aggression made them instant icons in a scene defined by resistance and rebellion.

Their 1982 album Defective Breakdown remains a landmark release, fusing blistering punk energy with working-class grit.

After a long hiatus, the band reformed in the 2010s and have since reclaimed their place on stages across Europe, Australia, and major festivals like Rebellion.

Still as fierce and relevant as ever, The Defects continue to deliver sets packed with classic material and sharp-edged new tracks that resonate with both old-school fans and a new generation of punks.

Joining them are The Gakk, well-known for their snarling vocals and high-energy performances, and Fat Rabbit, bringing their own brand of unfiltered rock and roll punk to the mix.

Together, this lineup promises an electric night of music rooted in raw power and authenticity.

Doors open early at 6pm, with the first band on stage at 7pm. Tickets are priced at €10 and available now via Eventbrite.

Early arrival is strongly recommended—this is one Bank Holiday show you won’t want to miss!
