Uisce Éireann has advised customers of planned water outages across North Drogheda on Thursday August 14

Uisce Éireann is advising customers in parts of County Louth of potential disruptions to their local water supply later this week due to planned works on the water network.

The works, which have been planned for some time, will take place on Thursday August 14 from 10 am to 4 pm with certain areas of North Drogheda being impacted.

Due to the works, customers may experience a disruption to their water supply.

Uisce Éireann says customers in the following areas may be affected: Newtownstalaban, Beaulieu, Queensbourgh, Baltray, Sheetland Road, Seapoint Road, Termonfeckin Village, Termonfeckin Road and the surrounding areas in North Drogheda.

Uisce Éireann’s Sinéad Kennedy has assured customers that their crews will complete the essential works as quickly as possible: “We acknowledge the inconvenience caused by a planned outage and we thank customers in advance for their patience while we carry out these essential works.”

In general, once the works are completed, it will take approximately two to three hours for normal water supply to resume.

It has been advised that it may take longer for customers  on higher ground or those at the end of the line to regain  their full supply.

Updates on these essential works can be found on the Uisce Éireann Supply and Service map by entering the reference number in the search bar on the homepage: LOU00097073.
