Dundalk FC say they were delighted to recently host two healthy walks in Oriel Park as part of the Not Around Us Campaign, in conjunction with Healthy Ireland.
The campaign aims to highlight the adverse effects of smoking and vaping around our kids. Families from all around the area joined together to participate in a lapped pitch walk of Oriel Park. Players from the Men's Senior Team were on hand to meet with everyone and there was great excitement as the kids got their signatures and selfies. With the good weather, everyone enjoyed the drinks and treats as they completed their laps.
Orla Crilly, of the 1903 Supporters Club, was on hand to keep up the good vibes and energetic music. Eoin Kenny finished off the fun by going in goals for a penalty shout out with the kids.
Dundalk FC say they wish to give a special thank you to Annmarie Watters, Healthy Ireland Co-ordinator for Louth for partnering with them, and Orla Crilly and Karen Travers for bringing this initiative to life, along with everyone who came along and supported the event.
Occasions like this it added, show how Oriel Park is more than just a football ground – it’s a community hub where families, players and supporters come together in a positive and healthy environment.
