  • Gardaí are investigating an alleged assault at Seatown, Dundalk, that left a young man in his 20s seriously injured.

  • The first Irish-medium secondary school in Louth, Gaelcholáiste Dhún Dealgan, had its official opening at the weekend.
    It is the only Irish-medium secondary school under the patronage of An Foras Patrúnachta within a 60km range.

  • Louth councillor, Ardee and mid-Louth representative, Cllr Dolores Minogue has called on Uisce Éireann to “step up, take responsibility, and deliver lasting solutions”, in relation to outages in the Ardee area.
